Angels’ Arms is dedicated to providing and supporting loving homes for foster children by keeping brothers and sisters together within a nurturing family until a forever home is found.
Over the past eighteen years, Angels’ Arms has served over 500+ children. The number of children living in the Angels’ Arms homes fluctuates, but each home can accommodate up to 6 children at any given time.
Angels’ Arms has 13 homes located throughout St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County.
Angels’ Arms is blessed with over 200 volunteers who donate their time and efforts in various capacities. Volunteers are the backbone of all of our fundraising events and programs.
Five Acres Animal Shelter is the only no-kill shelter in St. Charles County. We assist those interested in adopting cats and dogs that have either been surrendered to us from owners that can no longer care for them or transferred from other shelters where they faced euthanasia.
The majority of our animals come from private citizens who are unable to keep their pets for one reason or another, and we love and care for them until we find another family for them to join. We also work with local animal control facilities and other overcrowded shelters in Missouri and other parts of the country to transfer animals to Five Acres that face euthanasia.
Most of the animals we accept are healthy, however we do take some animals in bad shape who require extensive veterinary care. These pets need our help the most but their care can be very costly, even with local veterinarians assisting us in keeping costs down. This is why we created our special needs program, Shadow’s Fund. This program allows us to care for special needs animals that need a chance.
Donors such as yourself help us provide care for these animals, whether making a monetary or in-kind donation, volunteering or fostering an animal. Five Acres Animal Shelter is a 501C3 non-profit organization and does not receive any tax funding. We rely completely on private donations, corporate support, events and grants.
Our work is motivated by our faith in God, spreading His unconditional love, regardless of race, wealth, or creed as we minister to the poorest of the poor in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
By providing lifesaving food, secure housing, clean water, healthcare, emergency relief, micro-enterprise projects and education opportunities, we are giving the poor a chance at a better future, and showing them God’s love.
Christian High School is a place where students are challenged. It is a place where students discover their talents, what motivates, and what inspires them. During the high school years, our students make deep connections with their teachers and their peers. They become part of a tight knit community committed to learning and serving God. Our high school curriculum includes everything you would expect in a college preparatory high school- literature and history survey, biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, and language, as well as Advanced Placement, and numerous dual credit college courses. Innovative electives, experiential components, and state-of-the-art technology bring the material to life and motivates students. Smaller classes encourage continual interaction, sharing of ideas, and allows teachers to establish a real rapport with each student.
